YRRC Coach Rick Hart has been a runner for 30 years, Youngstown Road Runner member since 1996, completed 6 marathons and 45 half marathons.
“An avid reader about the sport of running, my interest in the physiological aspects of distance running started when I developed severe bursitis in my right hip while training for my first marathon. A MRI showed moderate arthritis and my doctor encouraged me to keep running but to get smarter about it. That was 15 years ago and since I’ve have developed my training into a 3 running days and 2 cross training days per week consisting of using weights, elliptical machine and biking.”
“In 2015 my love of the sport inspired me to get certified by Road Runners Club of America as a distance running coach. I look forward to helping both new runners and veteran runners looking for help in establishing reasonable goals and meeting them a safe manner.“
